Arbitrary waveform generator is different from signal generator,It is the best instrument in simulation,arbitrary waveform generator is one of the signal source, it has all the characteristics of the signal source.
We traditionally think of the signal source as the primary source mianly provide signal that are needed (the various waveforms) for the circuit under test, and then measuring the parameters of interest with other instruments. Visible that signal source in the electronic experiment and test processing, does not measure any parameters but according to the requirements of users, simulation of various test signals, provided to the circuit under test in order to achieve the test needs.
