Digital Pattern Generators/Pulse Pattern Generators
The SU5000 Series Digital Pulse Pattern Generators are high-performance instruments that output digital pattern waveforms, differing from other signal generators which output analog waveforms. They use a crystal oscillator as the time base and feature data storage and recall functions. With internal, external, and manual trigger modes, and an Ext. Trigger input ranging from 1Hz to 10MHz for square waves (with a pattern rate of 2mHz to 50MHz for SU5303), these generators offer pulse output modes including continuous, single, and gate control. Equipped with Direct Digital Synthesis Technology, they ensure high accuracy in time and frequency, along with multiple output channels, Trigger/Frequency Standard Input channels, and optional GPIB and USB interfaces, making them suitable for various testing and measurement scenarios.
Applications
Education
Serves as a practical tool for teaching and learning, helping students understand digital signal generation and related concepts through hands-on operation and experimentation. It allows educators to demonstrate various pulse patterns and their applications in real-world systems.
Navigation
Assists in testing and validating navigation systems by generating specific digital pulse patterns that simulate the signals encountered in navigation scenarios. This helps engineers ensure the accuracy and reliability of navigation equipment under different operating conditions.
Communication
Used in the development and testing of communication systems, generating relevant digital patterns for signal analysis and performance evaluation. It supports the testing of data transmission protocols and helps identify potential issues in communication links.
Electric Power Load Testing System
Applied in electric power load testing to provide precise digital pulse signals for system performance evaluation. It enables the simulation of different load conditions, helping engineers assess the stability and efficiency of electric power systems.
Optional pattern generator can output maximum 16383 bits per channel and strobe channel, with NRZ and RZ format.
Besides the multiple output channels and external trigger in channel, SU5000 Series are also configured with 10 MHz External Frequency Standard Reference to make higher accuracy measurement.
SU5000 Series Pulse Pattern Generator can output 20 ns~10000 s pulse period, with 0.01 ns minimum resolution.
Positive and Negative pulse polarity is available for users to select, thus help to enhance data transmission efficiency and simplify circuit design.
Three trigger modes---continuous, triggered and gated are available separately from internal, external and manual trigger source.
